RocHaven Fiber Studio
Located in the gently rolling hills of northeastern Oklahoma we are enjoying
our adventure with fiber animals.  We are primarily a fiber farm.  Our goal is
to have 6 breeding female alpaca and to maintain a herd of 30-40 fiber
alpaca.

We have both Huacaya and Suri alpaca, Corriedale and Blue Faced Leister
sheep.  The majority of our alpacas are breeding farm rejects.  Several have
conformation flaws, genetic issues, injuries or are just plain old.  Some
require special care and considerations.  However, all produce  wonderful
fleece for beautiful spinning fiber or other fiber arts. We love each and every
one of our quirky friends.

Please take a look at our fiber available for sale.  We have batts ready to spin
and fiber for those looking to create their own blends.
Boy gang.
The lady alpaca along with their sheep
friends and, yes, mini guard donkey.
We are excited to add these gorgeous
Corriedale sheep from Phillippi
Corriedale to our fleece program.  We
want to have a consistant supply of
quality wool to blend with our alpaca
fiber.  The ewes were affectionately
named Socks, Hat, Scarf and Mittens.
Apparently watching the dog get a
bath is very entertaining.
And now for the fiber harvest ....
The gang wait in line for their turn at the shear
mat.  Marty and his team from Integrity Shearing
do a fabulous job each spring.
Each fleece is labeled and placed in a tub
until it can be weighed, graded, skirted and
processed.  And when the weather is too wet
to hang fiber outside to dry we resort to
hanging bags in the guest shower.

Let the fun of dyeing and blending begin....
Visitors are welcome to the farm and studio
